Who We Are and What We Do

Our Work

Since our launch in 2018, Soulistic Cares has been working hard to promote our causes. While there is always more that can be done to help those in our community, there’s no doubt that we are making a significant impact.

In honor of the memory of our founder's brother, Alphonso Newman, we place significant importance to assisting those organizations  who serve the LGBTQ community.

We commemorate World AIDS Day annually, which takes place on the 1st December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day.

Here in the Chicago land area, we show appreciation to those who exist to eliminate the disparities in healthcare experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people through research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness.

The money we raise will be donated to the cause of increasing awareness about HIV, safe practices, research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness. All of our ticket sale proceeds are donated to  educational and prevention resources. This cause is particularly dear and personal to our family.
